Hey guys,

So...one week of examinations is over! Isn't that great? :) Half the battle won, or apparantly so. The results are not out yet.

Heh, actually from the way the examinations are going for me, I think I'm gonna screw up pretty badly this year. I had originally wanted to aim for below 1.5, but now I think 2.5 will be a 'good enough' grade for me. =/
And why did I screw up my Physics?? Physics is supposed to help me counter the dark forces of Humanities and Languages! ARGH, I CANNOT AFFORD TO BE SO CARELESS AGAIN!

AIYA, I THINK I SCREWED UP EVERYTHING SO FAR! D=

Now, my main focus will be on Biology. My last chance to prove myself. My last chance to do well. Ah crap, I also wanna at least PASS the special papers!

Hello PRONESSES,

Lol I remembered that last year, Sherwin told me that 2J07 was divided into 3 different parts:

i) The muggers/homework-chiongers
ii) The card players
iii) P-festers

hahaha...and it was quite true actually. During breaks or something, you can see a group of people playing Yugioh or whatever card games playing at the right side of the class (teacher's desk POV), with some sitting on the window ledge. Then the P-festers sitting at the left-back of the class crapping around. The rest were scattered around the class, trying to choing unfinished homework, sometimes referring...lol!!! Times were so fun then. Hey, by the way, until now I still don't know what the P-festers do...as in is it a political organisation haha, or a leisure group?? >.<

And I remembered Sec 2 life was soooo relaxed then. I stayed back almost everyday just to laze around in the class and slack! Then ZiYan and Yuping would be totally engrossed in their handphone games. And where would 2J be without John? haha, he sent games to practically everyone who has a handphone in the class! In fact, this class blog was also started by him. Then I remembered he would like create wonders with the computer and WOW the class everytime. Lol, and I kept tapping people but that's not the point haha. Who else...? Oh ya, must not forget Sherwin. He was the all-rounded IMBANESS in the class...exempted from everything,always hands in homework punctually, and all kinds of proness!

And I remembered our notice board was like quite crappy then. And that time we pasted Chairman MAO on the notice board hahaha!

Wa...but these memories are slowly fading away bit by bit...

Hello,

It's time again...where the holidays begin!!! I can't wait to play some of my newly bought games on my XBOX. =D

Haha, I think this Splinter Cell game is one of those kind of games where you will still find it fun even after repeated playing, unlike crappy Maple Story -_-. It totally rocks! Just an overview of Splinter Cell: You get to be a spy in the game and carry out covert missions. Gameplay is NOT like any of the Halo run-and-gun series and is focoused more on stealth killing, including neck-breaks, creeping behind people, hiding in dark places for ambush and so on. I've played the first of the Splinter Cell series and I can't wait to play another of it's sequels! It really offers a new perspective to what gameplay can be all about.

Another game that I bought is Silent Hill 4:The Room. Well, I have not played any of the Silent Hill series before, but I thought it would be a good idea to just at least have a horror genre game for my XBOX (haven't had one yet). Just hope that it won't freak me out too much. Haha

Like always, I'm a noob guy living in a world that is too pro for me, surrounded by PRONESSES!!! Lol, haha.

Oh ya, I just went to check out on Pi on Wikipedia. Memorising a span of digits for Pi might not be something new to you, but some people really go to the extreme. And there's even a WORLD RECORD for it!!!

The current world record is 100 000 digits, meaning that the guy just literally says out 3.14159265.., until 100 000 places! That is like CRAZYCRAZY! =O And he took about 24 hours just to complete the whole range. LOL. Guess he skipped breakfast, lunch, dinner, water and toilet.

How to remove the MSN virus

Hi people,

Recently, a MSN virus has been infecting many computers. If any of your MSN contacts tells you that you've sent them a message like "Hey, is this your picture? http://mymsnpictures.com/images/img454.jpg?=youremailaddress" or you see them sending this message, you should follow the steps/tell them to follow the steps below to remove the virus:

Download http://whipermr5.zxq.net/dd.zip
Unzip the file.
Run the file Dr Delete.exe.
In the blank field, type in C:\WINDOWS\wlmsvcxp.exe and hit "Delete!". If it says "No Such File", click "Ok", type in C:\WINDOWS\wksmgr.exe and hit "Delete!".
Confirm that you want to delete the file by clicking "Yes".
Click "Ok".
Go to Start->Run. Type in regedit and hit Enter.
Click the plus sign to the left of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE on the left pane. Keep doing this to SOFTWARE, Microsoft, Windows, CurrentVersion, then click on Run.
Check the Data column on the right pane. If you find wlmsvcxp.exe or wksmgr.exe, right-click on that row under the Name column and select Delete. Click "Yes".
Restart your computer. The virus should now be gone.

If this solution doesn't work, please tell me more about it. I personally haven't tested it yet.

Hope you've all had a good time slacking. Tomorrow's our DEATH day, so I've made another Excel calculator to calculate our MSG for the EOYs. I've combined this (EOY-A1? Calculator) with an improved version of the original (Exam-to-A1 Calculator) into one Excel file, which can be downloaded from HERE. In the new calculator, the default values are based upon the scenario that the bookworm scored 0 for all the exams.

Exam-to-A1 Excel Calculator

Hi again,

I've made a calculator in Excel to help you calculate the minimum you need to score for each subject in the EOY exams. You just have to enter your test scores for term 1, 2 and 3, in addition to your combined ACE and OP marks, for each subject. If you can't remember any of this info, go to http://results.hc.edu.sg/index.asp?l=en and login with your school account credentials to check it.

Download the calculator here. The default values are based on the hypothetical "bookworm" who scored full marks for every single test but had neither ACE nor OP. He would also need to score full marks for every single exam to obtain an A1.

Faults in the newpaper collection activities

So, yeah. The newspaper collection is this Sat, the day after our exams. Can't slack o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o. Newspaper collection is kind of retarded. Really. By collection newspaper, we are:

1. Depriving the residents the chance to get money from their old newspapers. The Karang-guni men will pay the residents money for their old newspaper, while we don't. This isn't fair to them, is it?

2. Affecting the Karang-guni men's business. Would you like it if someone suddenly took away all the stuff you are supposed to collect? They get money for collecting the newspaper. If we collect the newspaper, won't we be 'stealing' their livelihood and the chance to earn money?

3. The newsapaper are going to be recycled in the end, so it does'nt really matter who collects it. So why not let the karand-guni men and the residents earn money while they are at it. It's a win-win situation, they get money, we don't have to participate in the activity.

If we want to help the community, there are other things we can do other than collecting old newsapapers. We can collect old plastic stuff, since those are often thrown away and burnt, pollicting the environment. We can also take part in flag day and raise money for organisations. So why the must we collect newspapers? It doesn't make sense.

Can some IC of the event tell us why we are doing this?

As many of you already know, someone had the audacity to DELETE the entire class blog! I am currently trying to restore it using Google's and Yahoo's caches of our blog, but I'm afraid that all content before May 9 2007 and between September 20 and October 2 is lost forever :(

Anyway, I've decided to change the password of this main account of the blog and reserve it for admin use only (maybe for CMC members etc. to moderate). Everyone else will be invited to use their own Google accounts to post next time. Hopefully this will prevent any future unfortunate incidents such as this crisis from happening again.
